Yosef Benvenisti, son of Yitzhak and Tova, was born in 1927 and immigrated to Israel in 1943.

In 1946, he joined the Lehi in the Operations Division in Haifa under the command of Israel Tvua “Ezra”. In 1948, after the dissolution of Lehi, together with his comrades, he joined the IDF in the 8th Brigade, Battalion 89. His serial number was 86167. He participated in the War of Independence as a medic.

He received the Lehi badge and the State Warriors badge. Yosef died at a hospital on July 25^th 2005, and was laid to rest in Sdeh Yehoshua Cemetery in Haifa.
