Avraham was born on June 17, 1917 in Tbilisi, Georgia (then ruled by Russia), to Daniel and Tzippora. With the uncertain security situation and persecution, the family had no choice but to flee and made its way to Turkey. They had no legal status, and the authorities deported them. Still, they made their way to the Land of Israel as part of the illegal aliyah, by ship, in 1932, settling in Tel Aviv. Avraham attended trade school.

When World War II erupted in 1939, he enlisted in the British Army, serving until 1946. His unit was based in Egypt, and Avraham used every leave to bring weapons and other materiel to Israel. He was suspected and arrested, but after spending some time in military prison, he was released due to lack of evidence. While he was in Egypt, he maintained contact with Lehi members active there, even gathering intelligence about the movements and living arrangements of Walter Edward Guinness, First Baron Moyne, who was the British Minister of State in the Middle East. Eventually he would be killed by two Lehi members named Eliyahu Hakim and Eliyahu Bet-Zuri.

He was demobilized in 1946 and returned to Israel, returning to full activity as a Lehi member. He was involved in a number of operations, and after the Partition Plan was announced and Arab forces attacked the Yishuv, he took part in attacks on Arab rioters in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. When Jerusalem was besieged and cut off, the Burma Road was a lifeline; Avraham would drive his jeep to Jerusalem often, bringing fighters, arms, equipment and materiel for Lehi forces. The Lehi camp in Sheikh Munis was the distribution center.

After the Bernadotte assassination, Avraham was arrested, along with hundreds of Lehi members, and imprisoned in Jaffa Prison. He was the animating force of the great breakout, in which all the prisoners got out to HaShaon Square. Many were never recaptured. He then enlisted in the IDF, serving in the 7^th Brigade. Afterwards, he became a cabdriver.

In 1956, he married Meital (Matilda) Fogel. They had a daughter, Tzippora, and numerous grandchildren.

Avraham passed away on October 18,1983.
