David Tamir was born on Sunday, July 14^th, 1923 in Dnipropetrovsk, Russia, to Eliyahu and Henna Gita Lokshin. He had a twin brother, Shimon. In 1925, the Lokshin family made aliya and settled in Tel Aviv. His twin brother, Shimon Lokshin, was also a member of the Lehi. He joined the Lehi underground and was among the young men who remained in the underground in Tel Aviv after Yair’s murder. David died on November 22^nd, 1999 and was laid to rest in the cemetery in Holon.
