Simcha Zaramati, daughter of Ephraim Asta, was born in Kerem Hateymanim in Tel Aviv, on October 18th, 1927. In 1946, she joined the Lehi in the Intelligence Unit in Tel Aviv in observation positions. Among her commanders was Rafael Avigad “Ehud” who was killed in the War of Independence. She married Eliyahu Zaramati, who was a member of Lehi. Simcha was a poet and a writer and worked in education and teaching. Simcha died on June 6th, 1993, and was laid to rest in Yarkon Cemetery.
