Menachem Sharoni, son of Shimon Sharshani was born in Israel in 1929. He was active in the Lehi underground in Tel Aviv, in the Youth Division, and then in the Operations Division. Among his commanders were Meir Greenblatt “the Hasid” and Ya’akov Penso “Goel”. After the declaration of independence, he enlisted in the IDF with most Lehi members on May 29^th, 1948 and joined the 8^th Brigade. He received the Lehi badge.
