Shimon Panizel, son of Meir, was born on December 24^th, 1917. In July 1944, Shimon was recruited to the Combat Division in Jerusalem by Ya’akov Penso “Hagoel” who was also his commander. Among his commanders were Yehoshua Zettler “Meir” and Ftahia Zelibansky “Yoad”. He received the Lehi badge and the State Warriors badge. Shimon died on Monday March 9^th, 2000 and was laid to rest in Har HeZeitim cemetery in Jerusalem.
