Yaakov Goren, son of Mordechai Menachem and Leah Granevitz, was born in Israel on November 18^th, 1928.

In 1945 he joined the Lehi Youth Division, which operated in the Tel Aviv area, under the command of Yehuda Bar Giora.

In 1946 he was arrested and held in Latrun detention camp. After his release, he stayed at the Yair camp in Sheikh Monis and then enlisted in the IDF.

He received the Lehi badge and the State Warriors badge.

Yaakov died on June 27^th, 2020 and was laid to rest in the cemetery on Har Hamenuhot in Jerusalem.
