Tsafia Goren, daughter of Sara and Rabbi David Cohen (“The Monk”) was born in Jerusalem on August 24^th, 1925. In 1945, she joined the Lehi underground in Jerusalem and organized hiding sites, shelters for the fighters and a broadcasting station. She received the Lehi badge. In 1945 she married Rabbi Shlomo Goren (Goronchik) “Yermiahu”. Their children: Attorney – Avraham (Rami) Goren, Judge Tchia Shapira, and psychologist Drorit Tamari. Tsafia died on May 30^th, 2008, and was laid to rest alongside her husband at Har Hazeytim in Jerusalem.
