Ruth Freund, daughter of Hannah and Shlomo Volach, was born in Germany on Tuesday April 5^th, 1927, and made Aliya in 1939. In 1946, she joined the Lehi in Jerusalem and Sheih Munis and served as a nurse and treated the wounded under the command of Yehoshua Zettler “Meir”. She received the Lehi badge. Ruth married Lehi member Natan Freund. They had three children, Shulamit, Yaakov and Michal. Ruth died on August 15^th, 2003 and was laid to rest in Yarkon cemetery.
